On March 28, 2023, Tailored for Success held an empowerment conference to celebrate Women's History Month. The event gave 30 women the chance to take some time for themselves and work on their personal and professional development. Participants commented on the success of the event and valued the chance to be in person and to be able to network with peers.
The keynote speaker was Sharon Scott-Chandler, the first woman CEO and President of ABCD. ABCD is a new vendor for MassHire, so it was only fitting that Ms. Scott-Chandler kicked off this event. After her keynote speech, Ms. Scott-Chandler then took a tour of the Career Center, including the Career Closet of Tailored for Success. Inc.
The conference features three presentations: on Managing Everyday Stress by Nia Jones, MSH, CSRIC, CPFA., Investing in Your Future, by Donna Denoncourt, Partner of Boston Light Financial, and Dressing for Your Body Type by Aricia Symes-Elmer, Owner and Amanda Sanford Smith (Stylist) of Unfoldid.
